A popular, easy-to-grow variety, Song of India has reed-like leaves, edged and streaked in soft gold. Song of India plant is described as variegated as the leaves are multi-coloured with bright green centres and yellow margins. The colours fade to light green and cream as the leaves age.

Plant care

• Light - The Song of India plant, also known as the Dracaena Song of India, can tolerate low, medium, or bright light. It prefers bright, indirect light, such as near north or east-facing windows. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves, and low light can cause the plant to turn spindly and lose its vibrancy.
• Water - Water the plant thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again. Avoid soggy soil, which can lead to root rot.
• Temperature - Keep the plant in a room with normal temperatures between 65–75 °F, and avoid placing it near a draft.
• Fertilizer - In the spring and summer, feed the plant every 15–20 days with a diluted, balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.
• Humidity - The Song of India plant is native to high humidity areas and may develop brown leaf tips if the humidity is too low
