Plant Care

  • Watering - Keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid making it soggy, which can cause root rot. You can water your Ixora every 2–4 days, depending on the season and how much sun it gets. In the summer, you can water it once or twice a day. In the winter, you can water it once or twice a week.
  • Sunlight - Ixora plants prefer 8–10 hours of direct or partial sunlight a day. In the summer, avoid the afternoon sun to prevent leaf burn.
  • Humidity - Ixora plants do best in warm, humid weather. You can place them in a humid room like a bathroom, kitchen, or laundry room.
  • Pruning - Pruning is an important part of caring for Ixora plants. You can prune in early spring before the growing season begins. Pruning increases the number of blooms, and you can cut off several inches or cut each shoot down to one bud
