Tagar Double - Plant

Description

The Tagar Double Plant, also known as Caprifoliaceae, Alcea rosea, Malvaceae, and Double Hollyhock, is a flowering shrub that is native to India. It has white flowers, shiny leaves, and can grow to be 14–22 inches (35–56 cm) tall. The Tagar Double Plant is easy to grow and can tolerate average, moist, acidic, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. It blooms from July to September, and can reach a maximum height of 5–8 feet.

Plant Care

• Sunlight - Tagar Double plants prefer full sun to partial shade, and should receive 2–3 hours of bright morning direct light for 10–15 days after receiving the plant.
• Watering - Water the plant in the morning or evening, and make sure the soil is dry between waterings. Overwatering can kill the plant.
• Fertilizer - Apply organic fertilizer once a month, and water the plant immediately after. Phosphorus-based fertilizers are best for producing more flowers.
• Deadheading - Remove old flower blossoms to encourage the plant to produce more flowers.
• Pruning - Prune any damaged branches during transplanting.
• Protection - Remove dead, infected, or damaged plant parts, and discard them away from the plants. For mealy bugs, you can use Neem oil spray.
