Spider plant, botanically known as Chlorophytum comosum belongs to the family Asparagaceae is the native of Southern Africa. This plant is popularly known as ‘ The Green Filter’ because of its ability to absorb formaldehyde, carbon monoxide from the air around.

Soil -

Soils with neutral pH, rich in organic matter and well drained nature

Only water your spider plant, when the top layers of soil feels dry to touch

5 to 6 hours of indirect to bright sunlight and temperature of 18 to 27oc.

Fertilizers -

Use any well balanced liquid fertilizers once in 3 months, or add bulky organic manures and slow realising fertilizers while repotting.

50 to 60 percent humidity is ideal, misting your plants once in a while will keep them healthy and dust free

I over watered my spider plant accidentally…  what to do? 

Don't panic, just place your planter diagnally and unclog your drain holes. Keep your spider plant in bright sunlight, let the top layers of soil dry.
